This early variety , of the "cherry" type, is very tasty and productive. The tomatoes obtained are very red, juicy and sweet: the best in their category. Plants with an indeterminate habit, to be staked.
Originally from South America, the tomato is part of the Solanaceae family , just like the potato and the eggplant. It did not arrive in Europe until the 16th century, thanks to Spanish explorers, to become over the years a staple of our plates. Ribbed, rounded, elongated, cherry, the varieties of tomatoes are endless (there are more than 4000), varying not only the shapes but also the colors.
By its origins, the tomato loves heat and fears low temperatures. It also needs long stretches of light, which is why in our regions, the month of July is its preference. Given the length of its growth cycle, from sowing to the production of ready-to-harvest fruits (approximately 5-6 months), it should be sown in a warm, sheltered place from February onwards for good summer harvests.
Raw or cooked , the choice of variety will determine the use of the tomato in cooking: stuffed, in salads, to bite into as an aperitif or in gazpacho.
