High-quality orchid substrate, ideal for repotting your Orchid plant with fresh soil.
Remove the plant from the pot and remove the old substrate. Cut off rotten, diseased and dried roots. Hold the plant gently and insert the healthy roots into the empty, new pot. Now loosely fill the pot with the fresh orchid substrate, do not press.
It is important to use new pots when repotting orchids to avoid diseases such as rot and bacteriosis. Transparent or translucent pots (like those made of glass) are ideal for optimal growth, as they allow the orchids to absorb light through the roots. Orchids should be repotted at least once a year, as the old substrate becomes too decomposed to provide proper air exchange and can suffocate the roots. This special orchid substrate includes a wax fertilizer, so you should only need to fertilize again after 4-6 weeks.
